Peter Alexis Shukoff, better known as Nice Peter is an American comedian, personality, and musician. He was born on August 15, 1979 in Rochester, New York, United States. A self-proclaimed "Comic/Guitar Hero," he is best known for posting funny videos on his YouTube channel NicePeter, especially his comedic series Epic Rap Battles of History. On September 6, 2013, his YouTube channel NicePeter officially reached over 2.4 million YouTube subscribers. One day after he reached one million subscribers, the video game channel G4 crowned Nice Peter the King of Dot Comedy on Attack of the Show. His two channels, Nice Peter and Epic Rab Battles both have over 10 million subscribers and over one billion views as of September 2013. He has a third channel that he uses for vlogs and "Monday Shows", a show that he uploads on Mondays or Tuesdays that shows a few different parts such as "Viewer Mail", "Twitter Question Time", and "Ask a Giraffe". They have been shown on the Huffington Post, Billboard.com, and the January 2012 edition of Wired. An interview with Forbes describes Peter and his partner Lloyd Ahlquist's rise to fame.
Life and careerEdit
Shukoff started playing guitar before he completed school, but spent time following his comedic career. Once he resolved in Chicago, the midwest of the USA and UK. Shukoff says in Monday Shows that he formerly knew how to Irish dance, a talent he became progessivly worse at since he was a child. He adpoted a rescue dog from an animal shelter, whom he named Charlie. On August 14, 2014, Peter relased a video on his vlog channel which is saying that Charlie passed away while he was on tour. According to the description of his ERB video "Rasputin vs Stalin" he is of Russian descent.
Epic Rap Battles of HistoryEdit
Epic Rap Battles of History is an internet series that was created by Peter Shukoff and Lloyd Ahlquist. This series revolves around historical and real-life people, battling each other throughout rap. His battles have included "Darth Vader vs. Adolf Hitler" and "Abraham Lincoln vs. Chuck Norris". Some episdes use characters that are from television or movie and our fictional, as seen in "Rick Grimes vs. Walter White". His other rap battles use characters from comic books, as seen in "Goku vs. Superman" . Episodes often include Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD rapping against each other dressed up as a character, but will sometimes have guest stars in replacement or addition to Shukoff and Ahlquist. Most often, neither of them rap, as shown in the episodes "Cleopatra vs. Marilyn Monroe", "Gandhi vs. Martin Luther King Jr", "Miley Cyrus vs. Joan of Arc", "Michael Jordan vs. Muhammad Ali", and "Stephen King vs. Edgar Allan Poe."
Nice Peter also created a channel called NicePeterToo, which is used for the vlog Monday Show, songs, and behind the scenes of the first season of Epic Rap Battles of History.
