Perimeter is the distance around a polygon. To find perimeter, you need to find the lengths of all the sides, then add the lengths together.
For this square, the lengths are all 1 cm. So you add all the lengths together and ta-da, 4 cm. But there are more ways to find perimeter below.
P = Perimeter | L = length | W = width
For Rectangles: P = 2L + 2W
For Squares: P = 4L
For Equilateral Triangle: P = 3S
